Onyait Odeke

I have been clicking away for over a year now and in that year I won two Uganda Press photo Awards 2012 (UPPA)
My fascination with images stems from the fact that history can be frozen in a moment, stories are told without words, memories are preserved, some precious some turbulent yet it’s those same memories that make us who we are. Images don’t lie however much you manipulate them, they will always tell you the truth. I want to be the one that helps people remember the little things that matter the most; the smile of a child, the baby steps, the day he proposed, that awesome news, the joy of laughter. I want to be the one to remind us of who we are when we lose our way, I want to be the one who shows the beauty within without saying a thing, I want to be the one who tells you the truth even when you don’t want to hear it, I want to be the one who brings a smile to your face, I want to be the one who inspires and dares you to dream and If I ever do this with just a click then I will know that I have lived my dream. Dare to dream
